Risk

Demolition derbies are hazardous and high-risk sports. Therefore anyone with a health condition i.e concussion, heart condition etc. or who is pregnant should not compete

Disqualifications

Open door, fires, unsafe vehicles, non working fire extinguisher, special situations deemed necessary by official. Intentional head on or drivers door hits.

Body Protectors

Protect yourself! Work boots, sports equipment eg: neck brace, knee pads, shoulder pad, hip pads etc are recommended.

Seatbelt/helmets

A working seatbelt and racing helmet are mandatory as are goggles or face shields.

Brakes

Vehicles must have dependable and properly working brakes before entering the pen. All boundries must be observed.

Alcohol

No drinking of alcoholic beverages on track, emergency vehicle area or in the pit area. Any driver or pit person under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be immediately disqualified and removed from grounds. This will be strictly enforced.

Towing and transportation

Towing and transporting demolition derby cars to and from race locations must meet highway safety codes (including proper light controls, safety chains, tow bars, towing trailers, etc.).

No cars will be permitted in the competition area before the heat in which they are to participate.

Competitive aggressive hits! Sandbaggers will be disqualified.

All cars are to be removed from fairgrounds or track immediately following the show, unless prior arrangements are made.

Additional safety regulations may be imposed depending on track and conditions.
